By the Light of the Moon Membership Group

When I was on Easter Island, I felt connected to a deep sense of peace, a beauty, and strength…a connection to something bigger than myself in a way I had never experienced before.

I want this for you too. And that is part of why I created this program.

It is also where the name By the Light of the Moon came from.

You see, one night, walking back from the village, to the hostel where we were staying…really just an open camp ground.

On island, there is one small village. Hanga Roa. The rest of the island is completely remote and does not have street lamps or anything for guidance after dark.

So my friend and I walked back, with nothing but the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the side of the cliff to guide us alone the dusty path…and of course, the light of the moon and the stars.

It was scary, and kind of exhilarating, since we were on an adventure…

But I later came to see it as a perfect metaphor for grief.

Having fought my way through so many challenging times, trauma and shock and grief…

I realized there was a metaphor. A parallel here.

That just like being on that island in the pitch black of night without any light to guide to guide us, so too is the experience of grief…

of feeling disoriented, scared and alone.

of feeling everything you known has been ripped away from you, right from under your nose.

Your life, a disaster scene.

Your life, forever changed.

And yet, everyone else goes on as if nothing ever happened.

After my dad died I remember noticing this with anguish, and almost a sense of frustration or resentment…a feeling that no one understood.

And it felt so unfair.

That no one could understand:

Their lives went on.

but that mine would never EVER be the same.

And as that sunk in, as that happened, I began to fall away from connecting with people the way I used to.

How could I?

It felt that no one understood. Like no one truly CARED.

I know what it feels like to be on that deserted island, in the dark, scared and alone, wishing for someone to hold your hand, for something to understand.

And that is why I created this group.

I’m so glad that you’re here.

And my hope is that I can help to light the way.

Much love, and many blessings to you always,

Caitlin

Let’s walk together and turn the dark scary night into the peace of daylight. The connection and inner strength that are always yours. The moon will help to guide you and I’ll help you to know that you’re not alone.

To help you feel:

  • understood
  • cared for
  • valued
  • connected and loved and adored for exactly who you are, where you are right now

To guide you to a place of peace, understanding, grace.

In this group we explore the prompts and lessons in my writing/journaling program for grief called The Heart-Mending Wordsmith.

You are not alone.

You have a beautiful group of women here, ready to support you every step of the way.

Your story matters. And in everything you share, others will find that they aren’t the only ones to feel that way.

Let’s join together and create a unique and one-of-a-kind experience that will support you the way you deserve.

Because you deserve the very best.

This is a monthly membership program for women who have experienced grief or who are dealing with loss of any kind.

It is a $25 monthly membership. (Cancel anytime.)

Together we go through my group program, The Heart-Mending Wordsmith and I provide other support here in the group as well, including the following:

  1. a weekly conference call, to get support, connect, find a place to be understood and connect with others, all from the comfort of your own home
  2. a weekly email to inspire and uplift…to provide comfort and reassurance for whatever you’re going through. Some weeks it might be guided visualization exercises, other weeks it might be tips for how to approach self-care in a way that is truly gentle and sustainable…because when you’re experiencing grief, self care just feels SO HARD! I’d like to help it feel a little easier for you.
  3. Course content available any time in the Facebook group, to go back to any of the previous lessons, or writing activities anytime you’d like
  4. The opportunity to receive one-on-one coaching support, not available anywhere else.

And that is why I put this membership program together…

so you know you have the support here for as long as you need it.

In a really intense time and want to pop in for a month?
